This Women’s Day, we’re rolling out flavors that tell a story—soft roll cakes and spiced roll buns, blending childhood nostalgia with newfound traditions.
“Growing up in Asia, afternoon snacks at school were a little ritual of comfort. Among them, the classic milk roll cake was my favorite. Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness, it tasted like home.
Years later, moving to Finland introduced me to a whole new world of pastries. At first, bread-like pastries and deep, spiced flavors felt unfamiliar. But little by little, I found myself drawn to them—the contrast in texture, the richness of the spices, and the simple joy of sharing one over coffee.
This Women’s Day, I want to celebrate that journey by bringing two worlds together in the form of pastries, both rolled by hand, each carrying the flavors of where I come from and where I am now.
This pop-up is not only a tasting experience, but also about finding familiarity in the unfamiliar, embracing traditions from different corners of the world. Whether you grew up with roll buns or roll cakes, we hope you’ll find something comforting, surprising, and worth sharing.” – Kim, Lagom
